Thumbs up How to disassemble N82 lcd safely?

Tools required: Plastic shim such as a guitar plectrum or credit card

First remove the battery cover, battery, memory card and sim. Now push your plastic shim into the join at the side of the front cover to lift it out slightly. Then run the plastic shim around the sides of the cover to unclip it.

You should now have the front cover removed, like below.

The LCD screen is held in place by glue/double sided tape. To remove it you need to slide your plastic shim underneath it and carefully peel the LCD screen and phone apart.

The LCD screen will now be loose and can be removed. It will be attached to the phone by a ribbon which attaches like a plug and socket. Simply lift it upwards to unplug it and replace with your new screen. Reverse the whole procedure for reassembly
