Many thanks for the quick response, this forum is excellent.
Do u happen to know whether I can use the above firmware files to flash my 8310 using the Phoenix Software and a USB data cable? (i.e no box)

bro u need a box to flash ur fone with fbus cable.

Thanks for your help, downloaded the flash file, and got a cable, but I did not need a box, managed to do it with just software and cable.
