N82 headset keys not functioning

Hi to all
this is my first post here.

I hope i find a proper solution here.

I have an yr old N82 working in perfect condition. But since yesterday when i plug-in my headset/handsfree in the 3.5mm port it is asking me to select from headphones,TV-out,music phone and it was not the case previously.

Thus now i'm able to listen music from both earphones but the phone is not accepting any input from the headset keys like-- next/previous track, pause, answer a call etc. I tested the headphones on another cell and they are working good. I even tried many other headsets but same issue with all.

I did hard reset and soft reset the phone bt the problem hasnt gone. I have the latest firmware ver.35.

Apart from this my N82 is working without any issues.

yesterday i went to nokia centre and they told me to get the board replaced for Rs. 5270.- I dont think theres anything wrong with the board coz my brother has 6500 slide and he too had similar issue and he got the 3.5mm jack replaced on his phone under warranty.

Now plz dont ask me to format the phone again & update the firmware etc as i have mentioned it all i did everything from my side what i can.

open your phone then check inside.......

got the problem solved. just cleaned the 3.5mm jack n it was all done.
