According to the BlackBerry website, the JVM Error 545 message will appearon your phone when your phone has"encountered a Java Virtual Machine (JVM) application-related problem, and is unable to continue running." Althoughirritating, there are a few different ways for you to troubleshoot your BlackBerry Storm to get it working properly again.

Software Update
1.
Update your software to resolve the problem. Connect your Storm to your computer using a USB connection.
2.
Open your Internet and visit the BlackBerry Device Software update page. Click "Check for Updates."
3.
Type your password for your Storm inthe "Device Connection" dialog box and then click "OK."
4.
Follow the on-screen instructions to update your Storm. Restart your phone when complete. If your phone is still receiving the "JVM 545 Error" message, continue to the next section.
Hard Reset
5.
Remove the battery cover on the backside of your Storm smartphone.
6.
Remove the battery and set it aside. Allow the battery to rest outside of your phone for 10 minutes.
7.
Reinsert the battery into your phone and replace the battery cover.
8.
Press and hold the "End/Power" button on your phone to start it back up. If your phone is still receiving the"JVM Error 545," continue to the following section.
