Thumbs up How to flash SE with cruiser

    Know your phone!

    > * < < * < * 1 2 (nice tip from else where on the ether!)

Have it fully charged! (That's a MUST!)

I always Master Reset before I flash ~ that's the way I am

You'll lose all data that you cann't back up -
that might be some PhotoDJ frames and Ring Tones,
some images and games - so not really a big deal.
Download the latest version of Cruiser ~ v7.12 as of now!
(you may need additional third party software (I cann't remember) like (Dot).NET but it'll tell you.)

Ok... While you're there download the files you want to use to Flash your phone.

Those being a MAIN firmware file and a FS firmware file....

(MAIN & FS might look different so

    K750i_CXC125952_EU1_R1AA008_Brown36.rar - This is MAIN or MAIN_FW
    K750i_CXC125953_Europe2_R1AA008_Brown36.rar - This is a FS or Raw_FS

These are both BROWN aka Developer ~ your phone is probably RED aka Retail.
(Just something to think about for a min)

    Install your Cruiser v7.12 software.

The drivers for both the Dongle and Cable are installed with Cruiser and are in the Program Directory.

(You may need to reboot before you plug the hardware in)

Plug the Dongle in and install the drivers by showing windows where to look!

    C:\Program Files\Cruiser\Cyberflex Access e-gate Drivers

Then plug in the Cable and show windows where to look...

    C:\Program Files\Cruiser\Cable Drivers

Now you should have all the Hardware & Software ready to use...

...so make sure nothing is wrong with your system - and reboot...

    Here's where to find stuff...

Before you fire up Cruiser get the hardware ready:
    Plug in the Dongle
    Plug in the UC-10 Cable
    also:
Remove the fully charged phone battery
    Remove the SIM
Now find yourself a 3 Volts power source to connect to the UC-10 Cable.
If using Batteries, make sure they're NEW with plenty of charge.
How you connect the power source is upto you, but no lose connections and a Constant 3 Volts.
I tape two "FAT" torch/radio batteries together, with speaker wire taped and comming off the POSITIVE and NEGATIVE ends.
Not the best method as the connection MUST be held tight for the duration of the Flash process (don't let go untill the software disconnects the phone).
Use the Crocodile Clips to connect to the speaker wire (POSITIVE to RED, NEGATIVE to BLACK).
    then:
    uncompress the Raw_FS and MAIN_FW
    MAIN_FW
    K750i_CXC125952_EU1_R1AA008_Brown36.rar
    K750i_CXC125952_EU1_R1AA008_Brown36.ck75sw (13MB)
    Raw_FS
    K750i_CXC125953_Europe2_R1AA008_Brown36.rar
    K750i_CXC125953_Europe2_R1AA008_Brown36.ck75fs (8MB)
Note the file extension SW is MAIN_FW and FS is Raw_FS
Find which COM Port Cruiser Team Universal Cable UC-10 is using.
    Device Manager > Ports
Connect the phone to the UC-10 Cable (no battery, no SIM and battery cover off)
    Now you can start Cruiser.
Check out the Help File that came with the Cruiser Software!
    PART 2b to follow
    Tips:
Unlock RSA - we need to convert phone to BROWN
when phone is released - slide battery out (disconnect battery) wait 5 sec then slide battery back
    Convert to CID 36 Brown
when phone is released - (disconnect battery)
    Flash ARM (MAIN_FW) ck75sw
This takes about 5 mins... Cruiser may ask you to wait between tasks!
    Write Raw_FS ck75fs
    This takes about 3 mins...
    Customize FS
    in the drop down box:
    - select the model you're creating (W800 if thats the firmware you've chosen)
    - along with the area location relating to the File system you chose (EUROPE_2)
    - firmware version R1AA008
turn off phone (using Cruiser's first page) #see below
I probably made a BooBoo! - Goto File System TAB and Shutdown FS instead of "Turn off phone" - Reason = Phone may "Blink" (flashing screen) once all processes complete and you'll need to flash again using "Shutdown FS".
when phone is released - (disconnect battery)
    Then convert back to RED...

    STEP #2: Unlock RSA Protection.
    • Connect Phone to UC-10
    • Connect 3 Volt power source (RED +, BLACK -) (This Power Source Remains Connected at ALL times)
    • Click the COM Icon that's Yellow(1) to start the Control Window.
    • Slide the Battery into the Phone and click "Attach to phone"(2)

You'll notice more TABs form across the top. To Unlock RSA, Click the "Security RSA" TAB.

    Now click "Unlock RSA".

Wait untill the Phone Automatically Detaches (from the COM Console) and the Unlock RSA process is complete.

You'll be back at the "Primary" TAB.

When the Phone is Detached (but still physically connected to the cables) slide the Phone battery in and out, leaving it out for 5 seconds.
(I don't know where I got that technique from but I do it every time the Phone is Detached.)

STEP #3: Matching Phone Colour to Firmware Colour.

Some Firmware is a different colour to that of the Phone (Primary Certificate).
The Primary Certificate must match the colour of the New Firmware (RED to RED or BROWN to BROWN).

    BROWN or RED

    Attach to phone... (Primary TAB)

    Click "Security RSA" TAB.

If you need to change the Primary Certificate you'll need to complete this operation.
If you're not sure then complete this operation

Firmware R1AA008 is currently BROWN (I think) so if you've chosen this firmware, select Brown CID36 in the drop down box and press "Replace certificate".
