Solve Nokia Lumia 800 Audio Jack Problem

The very first thing that you need to do is to remove and re-fix audio jack strip and check, as most of the time the only problem is the loose contact between Audio Jack strip and Audio Jack’s on-board connector.
Now check with any other working Audio Jack, as most of the time your Audio Jack is faulty, and the only thing that you can do in order to resolve this issue is to replace it with a working one.

Now solder all the pins of Audio Jack connector and check.
Check continuity between 10th Pin of audio jack on-board connector, Coil – 1 and then finally with Diode.
Check 7th Pin of on-board connector with Capacitor – 1.
    Check 2nd Pin with Coil – 2, Capacitor – 2 and Capacitor – 3.

All the above steps are surely going to solve the problem, in case any of the capacitor or coil is found to be faulty then replace it immediately, as there is no other solution than that. Normally Audio Jack problem in Nokia Lumia 800 doesn’t occur, but when it does a few simple steps are quite enough in order to resolve this issue in the best possible manner.

    Nokia Lumia 800 Network Solution

The very first thing that you need to do is to clean GSM antenna contacts and check, as most of the time dust or rust becomes the cause of low or no network.

Now pull up GSM antenna contacts pins and check, as most of them time network problem arises due to the fact that GSM antenna pins and contacts are not in contact properly.
Check all the components of antenna contact pins. Components comprise of one Coil (we named it as Coil – 1) and multiple Capacitors.
Check continuity of secondary antenna. If there is no continuity then place a jumper across.
Check continuity of Coil – 2, if it is found to be damaged then replace it.
Now gently heat Network Antenna and check, if it is still faulty replace it.
Check all the components of Power Amp IC, replace all the faulty components.
Gently heat Power Amp IC, remove, fix it again and check.
If Power Amp IC is still not working then replace it.

    Nokia Lumia 800 Power Solution

The very first thing that you need to do is to check voltage at battery’s terminals, but make sure that you charge your phone’s battery for at least 15 minutes.
If the voltage at the battery terminals is lower than the standard one than change your phone’s battery and check.

Now check battery connector for any traces of water damage, if there are traces of water damage than clean it.
Re-solder battery connectors and check. You have to re-solder batter connectors either it was found to be water damaged or not.
In case battery is charging properly but phone is not turning ON then the next thing that you need to do is to replace power button strip, as this might also be the cause of problem. After replacing power button, check the status of problem. (Power button strip also includes Volume buttons and Camera button).
Check all the capacitors for any kind of water damage or whether they are short or not, in case any of them is water damaged or short, replace it.
Now Check the continuity of Capacitor – 1 with the +VE terminal of battery, if there is no continuity then replace Capacitor – 1.
Check Transistor with the help of a multi meter; replace it if it is found to be faulty.

Now check connection between Capacitor – 2 and +VE terminal of the battery, replace it if it is found to be fault.
If you have replaced Capacitor – 2 and it is still found to be faulty then you need to change Power AMP IC, as this might be causing the problem. Gently heat Power AMP IC and Check, if it is still giving the same issue, replace it.
If you are facing similar issue even after replacing Power AMP IC, then it means your phone’s board is water damaged. Inspect your entire phone’s board for any traces of water damage, clean all the affected areas and check. This should solve the problem.

    Nokia Lumia 800 Vibrator Solution

    For Low Vibration

If you are encountering Low vibration problem in your phone then you need to change your vibrator, as there is no other solution than that.

The very first thing that you need to do is to check the continuity of the vibrator’s positive and negative terminals, however you can’t just check the continuity between positive and negative terminals directly, as these terminals are under the vibrator’s shield. In order to check continuity between the two terminals, you need to check the continuity between above mentioned points (Point 1 and Point 2). If there is no continuity then change vibrator.
In order to change vibrator, all you need to have is a heat gun, as vibrator is placed over the motherboard. Gently heat the vibrator and remove the entire vibrator module.
Gently heat Vibrator IC and check, if it still fails then replace Vibrator IC.

The above steps are surely going to resolve your problem

Nokia Lumia 800 Bluetooth and Wi-Fi Solution

Clean Bluetooth and Wi-Fi antenna contacts as well as antenna contact pins and check.

Gently pull up antenna contact pins and check, if that doesn’t work then you need to re-solder your antenna contact pins.
Now check continuity of secondary antenna, if circuit is open then place a jumper across, it will get the job done right.
If all of the above mentioned steps fail then gently heat Bluetooth and Wi-Fi IC, if it still fails then replace it, this will surely get the job done right, but make sure that this step should be considered as the last option.

Make sure that you check status of your Bluetooth and Wi-Fi after every step, so that you may know what the actual cause of problem was and you won’t need to repeat any of the above mentioned steps.

    Nokia Lumia 800 Buzzer Solution

    For Low or Distorted Sound

If you are facing the issue of low or distorted sound, than all you can do is to change the entire buzzer module, as your buzzer is faulty and there is no other solution than that.

    For No Sound

For No Sound, the very first thing that you need to do is to check status of your buzzer. Buzzer’s status can be checked via contacts with the help of a multi meter. If buzzer is faulty replace buzzer module.
Now Check Status of Coil 1 and Coil 2, if any of them if found to be faulty replace them or place jumper instead, as a jumper would work similarly as of a coil.

Now Check Coil 3 and Coil 4. Besides that, also check the continuity between coils and buzzer contacts

Now re-solder buzzer’s on-board connector, as this might also be the cause of problem; however this problem occurs very rarely.
Now gently heat buzzer IC. If it is faulty then you need to change the entire buzzer module, as buzzer IC alone cannot be changed.

    Nokia Lumia 800 Camera Solution

Remove Rear Camera (For this you need to unlock rear camera locks with the help of a pin).
After removing camera, clean all the contacts underneath it. After doing that re-plug and check.
If it is still not working then check with any other working camera.

If the problem is with Hardware then the next thing that you need to do is to gently heat Camera Controller IC 2, which is the main IC and present out the opposite side of the board. (Opposite side of Camera). If it is still not working then replace it.

Now gently heat Camera Controller IC 1, which is just beside the rear camera. If heating doesn’t solves the problem then replace it.

Check Charging connector for any kind of water damage, if it is then clean it and check.

Now re-solder charging connector pins and check.
Check charging voltage with the help of multi meter. Place Negative terminal of multi meter on ground and Positive on a charging pin (1st pin from your left hand side).
Make sure that the voltage is between 5V to 5.5V, if it is not then replace charging connector. (Charging Connector can be replaced by heating it from the opposite side of the board, while heating it, pull charging connector with the help of Tweezers).
Now remove metal sheet covering the charging section (It contains Charging IC and Components).
