nokia e71-1 not connecting to computer

Greetings everyone, my nokia e71 is not connecting via computer, even my e71 is not asking to choose connection type when i connect it to computer, but my friend,s e71 is connecting properly on same computer, plz advise

Go To :

Settings > Connection > USB > Ask on Connection

and Select Yes..

brother i have done that but no help, its already set ask on connection as yes, i have also did hard reset, but realy no response from either mobile or computer when i connect the cable

Check with Other Cable or Change Connector from Board and Check..

Just go to Service Center for This..

thanks alot sky-net for your attempt to help everytime, bro same computer detecting another e71 using same data cable where my e71 fails to work, and by connector you mean i have to replace the usb slot in my device? How much it cost, just need idea

i know bro, but i cant give this to service centre, they have realy destroyed my n85 just for replacing flex cable, and since 30 odd days they have kept mt mobile, i'll give it to expert who know about hardware, so i'll replace its usb slot, but i wanna know the cost it may require, plz tell me, and else i'll get back to you, thanks alot for your great help, you always rock skynet
