Hi,

Since the microphone is soldered on the engine, u much remove and place new one using a hot air gun.

It's under the screen at the bottom of the qwerty, to reduce wind noise, call quality is usually nice ! I have N97 (same system) and calls are fine from both ends, this isn't an issue that I've heard much comment on, I suppose it would work right handed better than left, but I don't have an issue either way.
