Bro i think no any free sw available for this model for imei changing.....U have to buy any box for samsung...Like Ust pro2 or Ns pro.....So u will b able to change imei....No free solution yet for this model....

will this work? I can get a USB data/unlock cable, shall I try this one first?

U cant repair ur mobiles imei only with cable...U have to purchase any sw which i already described....So read this post carefully!...Sha...Tanz!
