I think we shoud just simply close the thread if its old stuff and not required anymore. If is new file that can still be used, we can find an alternative link.
PLease check the sample for your posted thread.
2 Changes: 1. Title mentioned as [Broken Link] and 2. Closed the thread.
This can be a solution as per me in case when files are pretty old.
And second thing I can refere to all mods, is that I can provide you a place to upload files where links wont expire, unless you ask to delete. But this space must be used for forum use only by members, and for Mods I can provide some space every mod, for individual stuff and an email @gsmindia.in
Anyone feel this is ok,let me know.
