If you frequently use Activator, then check out a new project that iOS developer Ryan Petrich has been working on called Actiwidget. The project is an add-on widget for Notification Center that gives users the ability to customize their own set of Activator toggles and Activator actions that will be accessed inside of Notification Center.

As shown above, Actiwidget adds all of the toggles and actions that the user configures to Notification Center. The user can swipe left or right to scroll through all of their toggles and actions. Tapping on one of them will invoke the button's purpose; for example, tapping on the Airplane Mode toggle will toggle Airplane Mode, while tapping on the Compose Test button will bring up a text messaging sheet.

The Actiwidget Activator toggles and Activator actions are configured from the Activator preferences pane under the Menu section. You can add as many items as you want, and you can add anything that Activator is capable of:

The widget can be enabled or disabled at any time from the Notifications preferences pane in the Settings application. Currently the tweak is not on any public repositories at this point in time because it's just a beta project. If you want to add Actiwidget to your jailbroken device, add Ryan Petrich’s beta repository by following the steps below:

  • tap on the Manage tab
  • tap on the Sources button
  • tap on the Edit button
  • tap on the Add button
