Although total shipments fell year over year the last quarter, Apple’s iPad still accounts for almost one-third of all tablets pushed out the last quarter. However, research firm IDC predicted that the general overall tablet growth would be slow throughout the 2014 year. IDC recently released data that showed tablet shipments grew 3.9 percent year over year in 2014’s first quarter. Just last week, Apple reported that although it’s iPad shipments were 16.4 million, it was still a year over year 16.1 percent decline.
