Hi A TREE, the log you posted here suggests a problem that lies between the cable interface and the cable pins. This is usually a difficult fault to tackle but you can overcome it with some level of patience. Just follow these simple steps.

    1. Insert the cable already plugged in the RJ 45 of the device into the phone and check whether the connection is established and wait until you see the message 'ready' or otherwise as the case may be.

    2. If you do not get message 'ready' at the end or you get 'cmd write error', then try holding the cable with your hand not too firmly to the phone and try checking the connection again. If you succeeded in getting the phone connected then you may need to hold the phone with your hand till the end of the flashing process. In this case, UFS flasher would come handy as it flashes BB5 phones in no time at all.

Wishing you good luck in advance.
