for the slow phone : just replace the crystal B2200 (near uem) and test the phone and post your result

auto power off :

clean and dry very well the PCB

if not OK erase the whole flash and write latest version
same condition prevails ?
the replace the crystal B7600 (near IF IC)
if not Ok we have to suspect UPP , reball may be sucsess
