I dont think that its work 100% because pa contains fet power transisters which amplify the tx signal and throw the network bt tower. when you short ir rhe antina direct to rf ic and rf ic had not enough power to bost the signal yor method will work only when you are near to bt [network tower] but when you far to tower it will not work i think so please corect me if i am wrong.

No you are absolutely right coz PA is not like fuse . you can jumper for testing , its not solution .PA mean clear it importance , power amplifier . its amplifier . not fuse .

and i think that if you short antena switch it also make problem like more battery consume and also tx power full signal return to rf ic throw rx line which can damege rf ic becase in antena switch in one time only one contant either rx or tx first rx then tx then some gap then rx.....sycling in very high speed micro second i have hitachi antena switch menufactring docoment if you need i will send you in your mail box
