i have tried on my E15550 (new model made in june2011 with idea customized firmware)
but ........."NOT Working"....!!!!!!!!!

I successfully installed first file named "Dashborad.exe"
but second file named "E1553Update_11_609_18_00_00_B418.exe" failed to install.

anyway...
i m going to try again.

Go to near mobile shop if they have RIFF or ORT then they can repair ur modem.

OR

Try Huawei Modem Unlocker by Bojs.
In Service Section select Restart Modem. and try to update locked firmware.

run the application, MDMA;
- First connect with [3G only]connection type
- Change it to [GPRS / EDGE only]
- Then change to [GPRS / EDGE preferred]
wait a few moments and look at the RAT on the right of MDMA changed automatically
from EDGE>>>3G>>>> HSDPA [HSD+UPA]

Hi all,

I have Airtel Huawei E1731 Unlocked Modem, I want to switch 2G to 3G mode without disconnecting internet .
We know we can not do it in original dashboard,
I tried MDMA but connection drops after switching,

Is there any method to switch 2G to 3G Mode without disconnecting internet??
