NCK BOX HELP How to USE/UNLOCK/Flash/Install - Info & PDF

1. Download from support archive with custom recovery.
1.1.If drivers installed skip step 2.
2. Power on phone complete and install drivers, must be mounted volume with phone drivers, so install from this volume.
If custom recovery already flashed go to step 9.
3. Put phone in FastBoot mode holding Vol- and power On(5-10sec)
4. Put usb cable and wait until install drivers(check in device manager if all ok).
5. Open nckbox.exe, select Fastboot_utils tab.
6. Tick flash phone in recovery utils.
7. Click on load and send and select recovery image.
8. Wait until finish, remove cable, remove battery(for 5...6 sec, if not phone will auto power on).
9. put battery, keep Vol+ and power on until phone power in recovery mode.
10. Go to Huawei android tab, select correct model and press check.
11. If all ok press unlock.

How to Install Drivers for NON Test Point Models:

1. Go to X10 DRIVERS
2. Select the correct 32 bit or 64 bit shortcut folder for your Operating System
3. First run "SEMC Flash Driver Install"
4. Complete the install wizard that appears
5. Second run "ADB Driver Install"
6. Complete the install wizard that appears
7. Next we need to connect the X10 in Flash Mode (some times called boot mode)
8. Remove the battery for 10 seconds and replace
9. With the phone still powered off, Press & HOLD the "Back Button"
10. Still holding the Back Button connect the USB cable
11. Windows will now detect the new hardware and automatically install the drivers.
12. Once complete, remove the USB cable from the phone and power the phone on.
13. Next we will connect the phone with "USB Debugging" Enabled
14. On the phone go to "Settings"
15. Next go to "Applications"
16. Next go to "Development"
17. Now enable "USB Debugging"
18. Click "OK" to confirm enabling of USB Debugging
19. Now connect the USB cable
20. Windows will now detect the new hardware and automatically install the drivers.
21. Once complete you can proceed to unlock your X10, X8 etc...

Now we can proceed to Unlocking the X10, X8, etc...

1. Now click on the "SE" tab of the software
2. Please make sure SIM card is removed from the phone
Please make sure SD card is inserted in the phone before unlock !!!!!!!!
3. Make sure that your phone is running a later version of ANDROID that 1.6 (tick the box to confirm on the Unlock Client) or ....
4. If you are unsure if your phone is running v2.1 or later, then connect the phone in USB Debugging Mode & click "Check Phone"
5. Ok, we now know we are running ANDROID 2.1 or above (if you are not then please upgrade your phone and start again)
6. Remove your phones battery for 10 seconds and replace
7. Press and HOLD the phones back button
8. While still holding the phones back button connect the USB cable.
9. The unlock client will now start the unlock process
10. When prompted by the UNLOCK SOFTWARE, remove the USB cable and power on the phone.
11. Make sure the phone is in USB Debugging Mode and connect the USB Cable again
12. The SOFTWARE will now complete the unlock

Please make sure:
• Warning! Please make sure SIM card is removed from the phone
Please make sure SD card is inserted in the phone before unlock !!!!!!!!
• Your X10i is NOT running ANDROID V1.6 (please update your phone if it is before unlocking, do not attempt to unlock V1.6)
• Your X10 is running Android 2.1 - 2.3.
• You have a Standard NON modified Kernal on your phone (you have not flashed custom firmware to your X10)
• You must make sure PHONE IS NOT ROOTED BEFORE UNLOCK.
• You must have internet connection

Trouble Shoot:

Unlock Not OK or Not Detecting Phone?
Possible causes:
1. On Vista or Windows 7 32/64 byte OS, client must be run as administrator (right click on shortcut, select "run as administrator")
2. Firewall or Antivirus is deleting files in the “loaders” folder. Uninstall software turn off antivirus and reinstall.

Phone shows no service after unlock:
1. Remove Battery and wait 1 minute. Insert Battery and power on phone.
Software hangs while unlocking or detecting ADB device
Antivirus has deleted important files. Uninstall software.Turn off Antivirus .Download and install software again

Q - Are the Xperia x10 mini Pro & Xperia Mini Pro the same
A - No, the Xperia Mini Pro is a newer Phone, if you are unsure please check the label under the battery, the X10 mini and X10 Mini Pro are both supported (u20 & u20i)

Q - Is it a permanent unlock
A - Yes

Q - My X10 unlock counter is blocked
A - No problem, your X10 will still be unlocked.

Q - If I flash the phone, the phone will get relocked ?
A - No it's a permanent unlock, not a stupid "patch" unlock solution

1. Connect phone powered on to your PC
2. Install necessary drivers (drivers are located in "Program Installation Folder" folder)
3. Disconnect battery,press Unlock
4. Attach Testpoint and connect phone with Micro USB cable directly to motherboard USB port, Install drivers ( if it s installed the drivers as ZEUS FLASH DEVICE (WRONG) so to fix:
Go to device manager
Click on Universal Serial Bus Controllers
Then right click on zeus flash device
Select update drivers
Install drivers from nck folder.(C:\NCK Dongle\NCK Dongle\test point drivers), until it detects Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008
5. Don't use USB hubs!.
6. Follow software instructions (prompts)

Huawei U8666 Ascend Y201 Pro Root + bootloader unlock + CWM Recovery


1. First, download mirror link
2. Unpack files in a folder on the PC.
3. Turn on the phone when the phone is powered up, it will navigate to Settings -> Developer Tools -> USB debugging switch on.
4. connecting the phone via USB cable to PC and install the ADB drivers (if necessary)

Root and bootloader unlock:

Run UnlockBootLoader.exe and choose Root Your Phone (Win Vista/7 right click on exe and run as administrator).
To check if the rooting worked, we look at apps that Superuser was installed.
The UnlockBootLoader.exe run again and this time we choose unlock bootloader.
After he made himself UnlockBootLoader, we turn off the phone.

CWM recovery installing:

Volume Down and press the start button simultaneously and keep pressed for about 10s-15s.
The start screen should appear solid.
Connect phone via USB cable to the PC.
Navigate with CMD to extracted folder and type in the following. (Press on Win Vista/7 in the unzipped folder Shift + right mouse button and select Open Command Window Here)

fastboot erase recovery then press Enter.
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img then press Enter. (two version in the package)
fastboot reboot confirm with Enter.

Now you have successfully rooted your phone, unlocked bootloader and installed CWM recovery.
If you need to unlock the phone, you can now simply by NCK Dongle or NCK Box.

Read codes procedure via NCK Box + NCK Box Generic MTK Flash Tool

1. Select model
2. Select com port (if phone have microUSB port, use GW300 cable)
3. Press Backup sec(alcatel) button
4. After backup done, fill IMEI window
5. Press Load backup and calculate button
6. Open backup file (NCK BOX/NCK BOX Generic MTK Flash Tool/alcapid_backup/phone model/XIB3CG22.nsb)
7. Exe read codes from backup
8. Put not accepted sim in phone and enter NCK code > unlock done

Many users have problems with the smart card drivers in Win7 64 bit. The problem is that the smart card driver is not installed properly, therefore removing the dongle/box after inserting again, windows tries to reinstall the driver, but fails.

Proper driver installing, step by step:

Extract the Driver Files From the Compressed Download
Open Device Manager From the Control Panel in Windows 7
Locate the Hardware Device You Want to Update the Drivers For
Open the Hardware Device's Properties
Start the Update Driver Software Wizard
Choose to Locate and Install Driver Software Manually
Choose to Pick From a List of Device Drivers on Your Computer
Click the Have Disk Button
Click the Browse Button
Navigate to the Folder with the Extracted Driver Files

Q.-I'am have normal mtk phone and this phone not listed, how to solve?
A.-Possible your phone is supported already.
NCKBox generic mtk exe support many CPUs and phones can be supported but not listed in NCK Software


How to do:

1:- First try to see if phone can be connected by USB (easy way)
To connect by USB phone must be in boot mode.
1.2:- To connect phone by USB, phone must be off and need to press some key and insert USB cable or simple power off phone and insert USB cable.
Device manager must be opened.
First need to try with powered off phone, connect USB cable.
If all ok, lcd will remain blank and in device manager will be created new com port.
If this method not work then:

1.2.1:- Phone off and try with "MENU" button and insert USB cable
OR
Phone off & Press * Key and insert USB cable
OR
Phone off & Press # key and insert USB cable,
OR
Phone off & Press CALL button and insert USB cable, and so on(can be any key, mostly used in phones is menu, *, #, left soft key, right soft key, call button, vol-, vol+)
After each try need reinsert battery.
On success will be created new virtual com port.
Remember combination and start exe.
Select USB and press read info in service@unlock tab.

Some phones will display real code, some will display 12345678(default one) and lock status.

If READ info is OK and code is default(12345678) must be used direct unlock.

Q- MTK phone stuck on boot logo, need to flash phone?
A- Usually not need to flash,many times help simple auto fat format from exe and after need to restore imei.

Q-Phone have user code enabled and exe not display user code.
A-Universal way: auto fat format from exe and after need to restore imei.
Recomened way: backup calibration, auto format fat, restore calibration.
On this opperation usually gone all user stuff, if this is important need to backup first using FILEMANAGER.

Reading Phone Info/User Lock
- Reading Phone Information and Phone Lock is very easy with NCK Box.
- Connect phone with USB Cable or RJ45 TP Cable and select proper port in CDMA Module.
- Click on Read Info. A detailed phone information will be shown.




Doing SP Unlock
- Connect Phone with USB Cable.
- Select correct Model or just click Read Info, it will automatically select correct Model.
- Click on Unlock and it will be unlocked.



Flashing Phone
- Select correct Model.
- Select Correct Flash File.
- If you are connecting phone in Emergency Mode ( 5 + PWR ) then tick Emergency Mode.
- In both Normal and Emergency Mode, software will automatically detect correct model, and will notify you if you chose wrong model.
- Click on Flash.



Repair Phones Blinking on LG Logo
- Connect Phone in Emergency Mode. ( 5 + PWR )
- You dont need to select any proper model as software will automatically detect correct model.

Writing RF/PRL/EFS Data After Flash/Blink Repair

Android MTK hints.

Q- My phone show invalid imei, how to solve.
A- If phone have OTP imei (alcatel as example) then simple reflash phone, imei will come.
If phone not have OTP imei then will need to repair imei.

Q- I'am maked repair imei, but after wipe phone imei reset back to default or null, how to solve?
A-In android mtk phones imei and other settings is stored in nvram partition and cached in data(userdata) partition.

When user wipe phone /data/nvram remaked from /nvram partition.
Many free tools repair imei only in /data/nvram, but in /nvram remain still empty imei and after wipe phone imei will become empty.

How to solve:Need to rebuild imei in corect way in /data/nvram and /nvram
If nvram have many damaged blocks, need to write good nvram file from other phone, same model and after make rebuild imei.

Damaged NVRAM simptoms:
Empty imei, phone not recognize sim card, network is not stable or missing, phone loop on boot logo, phone reboot in recovery after power on, wifi not work or work in strange ways.
