    Connect Mac OS X to your phone:

    1. On your Nokia 7160: Select the folder "Connect" and then "Bluetooth".

    2. Make sure "Bluetooth" is On and "My Phone's Visibility" is "Shown to all". Remember what is in "My Bluetooth Name" - or edit it to one of your choice.

    3. Open "Bluetooth Setup Assistant" under Applications/Utilities. Click "Continue."

    4. Select "Mobile Phone" then click "Continue." Select whatever you wrote in "My Bluetooth Name."

    5. On your Nokia 7610: Type in the number on the screen onto the phone, then accept "Yes" when asked if you would like to accept a connection from the computer.

    6. Type in the internet access codes if you please, otherwise just click "Continue" then "Quit."

    7. Read "General Notes" below

    Applies to all devices, you should do this after pairing your phone.

    1. By default any connections from your computer to the phone must be manually accepted. You have an option to set up a connection from the computer to your mobile as authorized, this means when you connect from the computer to the phone it won't ask you if it's ok and will connect automatically.

    2. To make this automatic: On the phone in the Bluetooth Setting Screen, you joystick right to the Paired Devices screen, highlight the computer you are paired with: select"Options", select "Set as Authorized" and "Yes". You will then see a padlock icon beside the paired device - this device will no longer require manual authorization for connections.

    3. Now you should set My phone's visibility to Hidden - so that unknown devices searching won't see your phone. You can still be connected to by any paired devices. Remember to switch it to "Visible" if you want to pair with a new device or receive a file / business card from someone with an unpaired device.

    4. Note that you may check your phone's Bluetooth MAC address by going to the standby screen and typing (*#2820#) in standby screen.

    To upgrade a phone you have to go to a Nokia service point. Normaly you get your phone back the same day. You also can do it by yourself, it called flashing. This is illegal to do, but i just going to tell you whan you need to know about this. To flash a phone, you need a flash cable (not DKU) a flash box and the software and the firmware files.

    The firmware code list:
    Every phone got his firmware code, you can find it when pressing *#0000# third line
    for ex. the Nokia 6230 is RH-12. the meaning of those code is explaned underneeth. This is a older list, I'm searching for the new one, but cannot find it.

    Prefix:
    N: Mobile Phones
    R: Computing Devices
    T: Terminals

    Suffix:
    B: GSM 900/1900
    C: DAMPS 800
    D: CDMA/AMPS 800
    E: GSM 900/1800
    F: NMT-450
    K: GSM 1800
    L: GSM 900/1800/1900
    M: GSM 900/1800
    P: CDMA 800
    W: AMPS/TDMA 800/1900
    X: ETACS/TACS

    SymbOS.Lasco.A Virus!!!

    SymbOS.Lasco.A is a Symbian Series 60 bluetooth worm that also infects .SIS archives.

    The worm is based on SymbOS.Cabir except it also searches for .SIS files on the device and adds itself to them.

    To remove SymbOS.Lasco.A:

    * Install a file manager program on the phone.
    * Enable the option to view the files in the system directory.
    * Search the drives, A through Y, for the \SYSTEM\APPS\VELASCO directory.
    * Delete the files VELASCO.APP, VELASCO.RSC, and MARCOS.MDL from the \CARIBE directory.
    * Go to the C:\SYSTEM\SYMBIANSECUREDATA\VELASCO directory.
    * Delete the files VELASCO.APP, VELASCO.RSC, and VELASCO.SIS.
    * Go to the C:\SYSTEM\RECOGS directory.
    * Delete the file, MARCOS.MDL.
    * Go to the C:\SYSTEM\INSTALLS directory.
    * Delete the file, VELASCO.SIS.

    Skulls.B
    Info

    Skulls.B is a variant of SymbOS/Skulls.A trojan, which has similar functionality to the Skulls.A but uses different files.

    Skulls.B is a malicious SIS file trojan that will replace the system applications with non-functional versions and drops SymbOS/Cabir.B worm in to the phone.

    If Skulls.B is installed only the calling from the phone and answering calls works. All functions which need some system application, such as SMS and MMS messaging, web browsing and camera no longer function. And in addition of applications being disabled the phone is also infected with Cabir.B, which fortunately, is not able to activate automatically.

    If you have installed Skulls.B, the most important thing is not to reboot the phone and follow the disinfection instruction in this description.

    Disinfection

    Same as for Skulls.A, but you need to delete a few more folders:

    c:\system\apps\CamTimer\camtimer.app
    c:\system\apps\CamTimer\camtimer.rsc
    c:\system\apps\caribe\caribe.rsc
    c:\system\apps\caribe\caribe.app
    c:\system\apps\caribe\flo.mdl
    c:\system\recogs\flo.mdl
    c:\system\symbiansecuredata\caribesecuritymanager\ caribe.app
    c:\system\symbiansecuredata\caribesecuritymanager\ caribe.rsc
    c:\system\symbiansecuredata\caribesecuritymanager\ camtimer.sis
