Default Chinese phones: Dual Sim Problems

I have purchase 2 phones from China: Sciphone I86 and an iGS 32GB (Apple clone with MTK 6235 chip). Both are dual sim phones, but I am not able to get sim #2 in either one to work. If I put 2 sim card in, the phones will freeze or reboot. If I put 1 sim in slot #1, the phones operate fine with either sim card. I checked the IMEI's and they match what's printed on the case. Any other solutions or ideas?
    Thank you

try to format it with spiderman and check the result and post reply, if you don't have one then you need to handle it to the mechanic for software repair

One I have sent back to China for exchange/repair. The other is now working with sim cards from 2 different carriers; but won't work with 2 sim cards from the same carrier (even though the tel. numbers are separate accounts.) Sorry, I'm not that experienced with Spiderman and don't have access to firmwares for re-flashing - have not seen any sites with engineering codes or roms that work with these phones.
